If Diago looks grumpy in these photos, that’s because he was. Diago wanted to go chase ducks and wade in the pond. After we took these photos he waded up to his belly in mud and was very satisfied with himself. But until then, he was having a terrible time. A lot of time on weekends is spent trying to come up with a compromise of activities that I want or need to do, and stuff that Diago can come along to. I get a lot of dog mum guilt if I don’t do at least one activity that includes him on the weekend. But most weekends I end up just doing what he wants to do.
Which means doing something that requires practical and comfortable outfits like this in case I get dragged through the mud or knocked over in Diago’s pursuit of an animal…You wouldn’t believe this dog turned thirteen last month if you saw him hunting, his speed and reflexes are that of a dog much younger. Ever since Vinted started shipping to Australia, with free shipping, my morning ritual has consisted of going through the new listings while I drink my coffee.
It has been a really long time since I have been able to justify buying (brand new) things for myself. The shocking exchange rate and the extortionate cost of shipping has made it that way. I’ve been really wanting a 49er jacket for a long time, so it was meant to be when I saw this one pop up on Vinted. We had a really decent winter this year and I feel like I actually got to enjoy layering and wearing the part of my wardrobe I don’t get to see a lot of. One thing I did allow myself to indulge in this year was a new pair of Freddies of Pinewood jeans. These are the 1940s nail head jeans and I’ve been wearing them non stop. So comfortable and baggy. I will never understand the appeal of the skin tight jeans….
