These photos have very unintentional Easter vibes considering I took them back in January! Right now its coming into autumn so no more flowers, and I’m getting jealous of everyone that’s posting photos of sakura and tulips. Even though I’ll be the one doing that come September. It’s always a bit sad when there’s nothing pretty to look at. But I say that when I’m the one who threw in the towel with my garden because I could no longer keep up with the watering and the weeding. And now the garden is so over grown that restoring it would be like starting from scratch. At present it belongs to the possums, the parrots and the snakes. Unlike this garden, which is in a public park and has an amazing team of horticulturalists keeping it looking fabulous year around. Sigh…
This outfit features two British brands I really love. Freddies of Pinewood and Luxulite. Both brands are run by brilliant ladies who design and make their products in the UK. In our day and age this is so rare. So every year I make sure to place an order with these companies because their pieces make fantastic additions to my wardrobe. When it comes to authentic bakelite reproductions, it doesn’t bet better than Luxulite. Their designs are always so adorable and clever. The perfect fun finishing touch to an outfit. Especially on days when I want to go for a more simple, casual look like this one, and then give it that bit of extra oomph. This frog and fly brooch has me smiling all day when I wear it, I love frogs and the concept is so cute and silly. Silly brooches forever, minimalism never!
