Cold weather means much fancier outfits, and mulled wine. I had to spend a considerable amount of time trying to edit out the wine flush on my cheeks in this set of photos which were taken around the corner from home, on the way home from the pub. Kudos to my husband for managing to take decent enough photos after several pints.
The suit I’m wearing is the navy version of this same style that I have in green, which I styled pretty much the same a few years ago, because when else am I doing to be able to sport a nice felt fedora if not in winter? And this cheeky bit of vintage fluff I got at a vintage market in Tokyo. I wasn’t quite sure of the right way to pin it on and wear it so perhaps it looks a little off…
We have been lucky to get real winter weather this year so I am trying to make the most of wearing the pieces that spend the rest of the year waiting for their turn to be worn. Today has been a particularly nice winter day, many cups of tea have been drunk, I’m about to pop goulash in the oven and the wattle has started to flower. Hopefully I still have a few more months of being able to wear suits and coats, and other elegant outfits like this before its time to bring out the summer whites again…
