I was recently at a vintage market where I found a true vintage version of this exact dress, but in a peach fabric. If it wasn’t for the fact that I already had this lovely dress waiting for me at home I would have been a bit sad (since the vintage original had a 24′ waist) and that’s just not going to happen. How good that there’s so many great vintage reproduction options available these days!
Even though I don’t reach for them very often, I do love wearing pastels. And when it comes to taking photos with the cherry blossoms each year its when the pastels tend to come out. It gives me a chance to pretend I’m in a Sofia Coppola Film.
This lovely powder blue dress is actually another one of The Seamstress of Bloomsbury’s creations – the new Ruby dress. It comes in a few block colours and in floral, and I know that eventually I might have to treat myself to another one in this style because it’s such a flattering fit. I’m very sold on the puff sleeves and the diamond detail on the front. I’ll have to ensure that I come up with some more whimsical outings for this dress! So a booking for high tea might be in order…

Definitely the perfect dress for afternoon tea! I love your bag too. Seeing your different ones has inspired me to add one to my wardrobe. I have some round bamboo handles and I’m going to see if my sister can crochet me one! (I can’t crochet or I’d try my hand at it)

I absolutely love the colour of your lovely dress, and in Rayon crepe de chine too. What a lovely set of photos – you picked the perfect setting and time of year! Looking at the four fabric colours available, the powder blue would be my choice as well, especially after seeing your post. That said, I’m in love with the floral too. Choices, choices!
