I have always wanted a very traditional and sober wedding. To me a wedding is a serious and solemn occasion and it was important to us that our ceremony was incredibly formal and dignified. The whole ceremony was a surreal experience and looking back on it now everything went so fast that if it wasn’t for these photos the whole thing could have been written off as a day dream.

So beautiful – the more I look at those bridesmaid dresses the more I love them, too! And I've just noticed the edging on your veil – swoon. I think that the ceremony part should indeed be serious, but I hope if I get married that I may add a big helping of playful quirk to the reception. I don't know what or how, but I've been too so many weddings recently that I just know I want to do something a bit different! x

This is an incredibly beautiful space to have a wedding reception. The space is a long hall with a few side rooms (perfect for dancing and hor d'oeuvres). The windows at the end of the wedding venues hall led to magnificently gorgeous panoramic views of the city.

The colours of the car, then the solemn peacefulness of the ceremony ~ there is a sweetness and a quiet confidence I love to see in your face, and in the grooms. It is wonderful to get a glimpse into your happy, sacred day. ❤

A vintage lover from Brisbane. I am passionately nostalgic for decades before my time. I enjoy recreating looks inspired by the past wearing both vintage and vintage reproduction clothing. My blog focuses on the styles of the art deco period and features both authentic vintage pieces from the 1920s, 30s & 40s, as well as modern reproductions of clothing from these eras.
