Wild Strawberries and Gingham

June 27, 2015 · 18 Comments

Gingham, strawberries and the countryside may be a huge cliche together, but this is exactly how my week has been and I couldn’t be happier. The fields and the forest is full of wild strawberries now and I have gone into a frenzy collecting (and eating) as many as I can before they disappear. Wild strawberries may look similar to the regular variety but they are entirely different in taste and smell, a delicious combination of sweet and tart and so much more flavorsome. I’ve been enjoying them on their own, and sprinkled on top of ice cream.

Stunning dress on you! What a perfect setting! I have never seen wild strawberries, I can only imagine what it is like foraging in the forest for wild strawberries.

Splendidly pretty outfit and setting – I love those shoes. Love, love, love them!!! How fun that you encountered some wild strawberries. Annie I spotted both wild blueberries and, much to my surprise, raspberries on our latest walk. I didn't pick any though, as we have a ton of deer and other wild critters around here and I could see that they'd been at them already, so for safety's sake, I left them where they were. It was sure fun to spot them all the same though.

    Big hugs,
