Trixie!

November 30, 2014 · 20 Comments

Trixie top c/o Bernie Dexter
Trixie skirt c/o Bernie Dexter
Shoes – Betts

Like I said – this summer is going to be all about two piece sets! As you know, I love my Bernie Dexter dresses so you can only imagine my excitement when Bernie Dexter released a beautiful range of matching skirts and tops! The tops and skirts are sold separately so they can be mixed and matched according to size to ensure the best fit so it is important to measure yourself carefully. My measurements are 32 – 26 – 34 and I am wearing the top in an XS and the skirt in an S. The Trixie top is boned and has an elastic back, so it can be worn with or without a bra as it is structured and not only is it very comfortable, it also provides good support. When it comes to skirts I like mine to be fitted – but still have a bit of room to spare just in case I expand after a big meal, so for me the size S was just right!

What a lovely two-piece! I definitely need to embrace this style a little bit more – I always worry about my middle bit but stuff it! I need a lovely two-piece after seeing you in them! 🙂 🙂 You look super cute and my oh my I love that picnic set! I am surprised to learn about your measurements – you look bigger around the bust (always quite jealous of your lovely decolletage ahahha) but your hips are also quite tiny! Interesting isn't it ahhahaha we obsess about numbers when they actually do not represent how we look?

You look dazzling! 50s bombshell, totally rocking the curves in this sexy top and skirt set! And I love Gingham print so much! I would love to wear a two piece ensemble too but somehow I didn't have the guts for a crop top yet 😉

That two piece is so lovely, and handy that the top and skirt are sold separately. Looks so great with the picnic basket, red lipstick and shoes. You always look amazing. x

Love this set! There's scarcely a more versatile or charming warm weather fabric around than gingham, especially when it's done up in classic B&W, which go with pretty much everything under the (blistering hot) sun. You look as cute as button, dear gal!

Love this set on you! I love that Bernie Dexter does boning in the bodice of her tops and dresses! That's definitely something you don't usually see in a lot of vintage reproduction clothing!
