Saying Farewell to the Roses

October 30, 2014 · 16 Comments

Dress – Bernie Dexter

When I look at my wardrobe there seem to be three types of prints that I am irresistibly drawn to and cannot stop collecting: tropical, gingham and roses. I saw this dress and then tried to count how many other things with roses I already own and quickly lost track. The unique way the roses looked like they had been painted on was hard for me to resist, so I bought one for myself and the yellow version for my friend for Christmas!

As it nears the end of spring, the roses have all started to wilt away and these pink ones were some of the last ones left unscorched by the sun. Delicate European flowers do not fare well here, or at least not in Queensland as our summers are far too much for them, and for me as well.

Whenever I go for floral, I always seem to pick roses too! They're just classic though, aren't they? And this dress is so beautiful, who could have resisted it? Love the neckline, you look great. CC x

Lovely! I'm missing the warm weather here already, although we've been lucky enough to have some unseasonably warm weather so far this Autumn anyway. The dress looks wonderful on you, it's perfect for your figure.

I literally just got this dress in the mail and I'm beyond in love with it! I own pretty floral dresses, sure, but this one became the front runner for favorites! You look AMAZING in this dress, by the way! XO

Gorgeous dress and photos, I hear what your saying about Queensland's hot weather though! Only thing is I don't like being cold as well!

What an amazing dress, that print is stunning. You look gorgeous. Oh gosh, I do not fare well in this Queensland heat either! It's not even summer yet and I'm struggling to cope!

Roses suit you, sweet dear, every much as they do nature's verdant landscape. They're feminine, timeless and endearingly beautiful, just like you are, so you two really are a perfect match.

Immensely, memorably marvelous photos and dress. As a fellow (massive!) rose/floral print lover, this elegant frock has me going weak in the knees.

Oodles of hugs & happy start of November wishes,
    ♥ Jessica
