Do you ever have one of those moments where you stop and think back to where you were and what you were doing on that exact same day last year? I’ve been looking through a lot of old photos from last year that I never got around to posting, a few snapshots from a beautiful summer day when I picked bluebells and blueberries in the forest.
All of these photos were taken about a five minute walk from where my family lives and where I used to live, in a Moscow suburb about half an hour out of the city. The green domed building as you might have guessed is a (Russian Orthodox) church; the bells used to wake me up every Sunday morning and it’s a sound I’d give anything to hear again even though I always complain about the noise when I’m there.
Beautiful photo's, my dear. If I think back to this time last year I was working my butt off in a pretty awful job trying to save money to go overseas! Much prefer my current situation!

these are beautiful and i love the church, orthodox churches are so stunning and ornate! i find myself thinking about that quite often.. funnily enough at the moment i feel like i'm pretty much in the same situation as i was last year trying to decide where to spend my summer, ha! also, your dress is lovely! xx
Last year you have been in Russia!!! I understand that you remember that journey very well and I understand why you were homesick the last weeks.

Lovely photos – and such a gorgeous dress too. I officially have hair envy! It's easy to wish you were back in a certain time… but especially when that time was in summer! Everything is better in the sunshine 🙂

I do think this way very often, especially in summer, June always meant to me something good, I have a lot of great memories from this time of the year, too bad nothing from that time survived. I love how you look on those pictures, they look magical!
